Littmann Stethoscope Cardiology IV Black / Brass Finish Review
I am so excited to unbox my new Littmann stethoscope. It comes in a black brass finish, which is perfect for me because it will match the rest of my medical gear.
The box it comes in is really impressive and definitely makes the stethoscope look even more luxurious. I open it up, and inside there’s a whole bunch of stuff!
The first thing I noticed when I opened the stethoscope box was the weight of the device. It’s heavier than I expected, and this is a good thing! It feels solid, durable and well-made.
The tubing is thick enough that I don’t have to worry about getting tangled up in it when I’m working with patients or trying to keep track of my equipment at work. And there are little rubber feet on each end of the tube so that if you accidentally bump into something, your stethoscope will stay put instead of falling off!
The Cardiology IV has a redesigned stainless steel chest piece, which means it will stay in place while you’re using it and won’t slip out of place when you’re not. It also has a wider frequency response than previous models, which means you can hear even more detail in the sounds of your patient’s heart.
The most exciting thing about this stethoscope? The fact that it comes with a seven-year warranty! This is a huge plus, especially because many stethoscopes don’t come with any warranty at all.

It has a fully optimised paediatric adult diaphragm, with improved low-frequency response and upper-frequency response. This means that you can hear the sounds of your patient’s heart at a higher level of detail than before.
We also purchased a carry case with the stethoscope because it didn’t come with the product. It’s nice to have a carry case to put your stethoscope in when you’re not using it so that it doesn’t get damaged during transit or storage. This is another big bonus, as most stethoscopes don’t come with a carry case.
We also get a user manual with this stethoscope, which is another huge bonus. It’s nice to have a user manual when you’re first starting out with your stethoscope so that you can learn how to use it properly and get the best results from it.
It also comes in different colors, so you can choose the one that suits you best. It’s nice to have a stethoscope that comes in different colors, as it makes it easier for you to find one that fits your style. Mine is black, which I think looks great. However, if you’re someone who likes to stand out, there are other colors available too!
All in all, this is a fantastic stethoscope that I would highly recommend. It’s very high-quality and will last you for years to come. The only downside is that it’s a bit on the expensive side, but if you can afford it then I would highly recommend this stethoscope.

Pros & Cons:
Positives:
Durable
Great sound quality
Different color options
Warranty coverage
Negatives:
A bit expensive
Compare with others:
If I compare it to the MDF Procardial Titanium Cardiology Stethoscope I’m using right now, I would say that this one is better. It’s easier to use and more comfortable. The sound is clear, and I can easily hear both my patient’s heart and lungs. The earbuds are soft, so they don’t hurt my ears or fall out of place when I’m wearing them. And the length of the tubing is just right—I can move around with ease while still being able to listen to what’s going on in their chest cavity.
All in all, this is a fantastic stethoscope that I would highly recommend. It’s very high-quality and will last you for years to come.
