Being a medical student I had always dreamed of using the Littman stethoscope, to fulfil this dream I have got the best Littman in the town the Littman stethoscope Cardiology IV Plum, I love the plum colour so much I couldn’t resist buying a Littman of this colour it looks graceful and cheesy at the same time. Let’s just not waste time and inbox the Littman to see how is real and how magnificently it works.

Coming towards the packaging, it is wrapped inside a cardboard box that seems strong enough to bear any kind of accident that could probably happen during the delivery. To add more safety Littman is wrapped in a bubble sheet which protects it further. The packaging was impressive. The Littman was as spectacular as I first saw it on the website, the plum colour was so shiny I am absolutely in love with the first look.  The diaphragm bell and the earpiece all look fine by handling, I will be testing it soon to know how it works. Last but not the least, the packaging also had a manual on how this Littman Stethoscope works. It consists of all details on how to operate the Littman, where the chest piece should be placed, and the part I loved the most about the hand manual was that it tells us about cardiac murmurs as well, it also guides us about the placement of the diaphragm in case of adults and infants, which is very useful if somebody is using the Littman stethoscope for the first time.

Now coming toward the features of the Littman stethoscope, starting from the ear pieces, they were made up of soft rubber I put them in my ear to test if they cause any irritation, surprisingly, they could just stay in your ears for a very long time without causing any irritation or damage. The diaphragm was comfortable to hold itself, I put it on my chest to feel how it is, it was so delicate and soft. The tubing was also made up of fine rubber which will not tear off easily. I tested the Littman stethoscope on my father is an angina patient who has a past medical history of two heart attacks, I tested my stethoscope on him, and I could hear all the sounds produced by the heart, the sounds were numb somewhere which was due to angina.  The Littman worked amazingly, I also asked my father if it hurts when putting the diaphragm on his chest which is said it was very delicate and light to feel. I also wanted to test it on an infant to know if it works the same, I got the chance in neonatal ICU during my rotation, and I heard the sounds of the heart of the baby it was a memorable moment for me to listen to such fragile sounds which became possible only because of the Littman stethoscope.
